Dataset for Spatio-Temporal Assessment of Meteorological Drought Using SPI in Borena and Guji Zones, Southern Ethiopia

This dataset contains meteorological and geospatial data used for drought analysis using the Standardised Precipitation Index (SPI) in Borena and Guji Zones, Southern Ethiopia. It includes CHIRPS precipitation data, observed rainfall data, temperature data, and elevation raster. The dataset was processed and analysed using Python for drought characterisation and spatio-temporal analysis. This dataset supports a peer-reviewed research manuscript.
