**Description**
The Origin-Destination data provides insights into the start and end location of individual vehicle trips.
**Data Source**
The data is sourced by millions of vehicles globally from our vetted partners including:
- Automotive OEMs; vehicles with embedded connectivity from the car manufacturer
- Fleets with after-sales in-vehicle hardware telematics devices
**Use Cases**
- Transportation analytics: Traffic consultants, road operators, municipalities and SaaS analytics platforms use our data for understanding road usage, people movement and performing targeted before & after analytics to assess infrastructure and signage changes.
- Emission Analysis: Stakeholders can estimate emissions based on traffic information
**Origin-Destination Data Schema**
**Main attributes**
The following list provides the main data attributes that are available via the Mobito Origin-Destination Data Product:

**Origin-Destination Data Specs**
**Historicity**
Historical data availability as of 2021. Availability differs per country.
**Trip Types**
The origin-destination dataset can include any or all of the following trips types:
- All trips within the selected geographical area (e.g. country, city)
- Trips that start within the selected geographical area
- Trips that end inside the selected geographical area
**Vehicle Types**
The following vehicle types area available in the datasets (availability varies per country):
- Passenger car
- Light commercial vehicle (LCV). This is a van type of vehicle. Examples: (Renault Master, Renault Trafic, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Peugeot Boxer, Volkswagen Crafter, Fiat Ducato, Opel Crossland, Citroen Berlingo etc.)
- Heavy truck (more than 3.5 tones)
- Bus
- Other (unclassified)
**Data Anonymisation**
A data anonymisation is applied on the data. Key features include:
- **No Exact Locations:** Rather than providing precise latitude and longitude coordinates, Mobito utilizes the [H3 hexagonal grid system](https://h3geo.org/) to generalize locations.
