Behavioral Flexibility in Sitting

This study has two tasks. The first one looks at how infants learn to maintain balance while sitting. Infants sit with their legs outstretched on a flat surface. Then, we parametrically lower the platform beneath infant's legs in small 2 cm increments until their legs are no longer supported (like sitting on a chair). We record infant's postural sway during the task. The second task examines infants during 5 minutes of natural sitting on a mat while wearing a headcam that captures their visual access.
