Cross-Cultural Leadership

Leaders from Mexico, Tanzania, and the United States reported their emotional Intelligence (EI) and provided demographic information. An analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) tested the main and interaction effects of nationality, gender, and education on the overall EI scores and EI subscales while controlling for the effects of age and leadership tenure. The results demonstrated significant differences by nationality and significant interactions between gender and education on emotional intelligence. Recommendations for organizations operating in these countries are discussed with respect to cultural influences, education and gender.<br><br><br>
