Dynamic transcriptome analysis reveals that JH regulates ovarian development in Propylaea Japonica

Juvenile hormone (JH) is an important sesquiterpenoid reproductive regulating hormone in insects. Since the identification of the JH receptor Methoprene-tolerant(Met),the molecular mechanism of JH regulating insect reproduction and development has made great progress, but the research is mostly limited to model insects. Meanwhile,JH has diversified functions and participates in many important life processes and has an intricate interaction with ecdysone and nutritional-sensing signaling pathways in reproductive regulation. This article will study the reproductive regulation mechanism of JH in Propylaea Japonica for the first time, opening another perspective for the study of JH reproductive regulation mechanism in non-model insects.
