This series comprised technical manuals and drawings maintained within the Electrical Workshops, Victorian Railways VA 2876, 1916 to 1983, the State Transport Authority VA 1038, 1983 to 1989 and the Railway Vehicles Maintenance Division of the Public Transport Corporation VA 2984, 1989 to 1993.The technical manuals covering operating, maintenance and overhaul procedures for passenger vehicles were issued by the Vehicles Engineering Department.
