We sequenced the transcriptome from three regions of the skin tissue of Bufo gargarizans and performed subsequent analyze. We provide a useful transcripts resources to study the gene expression and gene function of B. gargarizans and other amphibians. The detected DEGs between different sites of the skin provided better insights into the genetic mechanisms of toad venom secretion and the protection function of skin for amphibians.
