Mapping and quantifying transcriptomes of MTSS1 overexpressed in the wild type nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells by RNA-Seq

Metastasis suppressor 1 (MTSS1) is frequently lost in metastatic tissues, which correlates with advanced tumor stages and poor patient prognosis across a variety of cancers. The anti-metastatic mechanisms of MTSS1 are not well understood. We applied RNAseq technology to map the transcriptomes of wild type and MTSS1 overexpressed nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells. Overall design: Comparisons of the gene expression between the Myc-tagged empty vector and Myc-MTSS1 samples were carried out to determine the differentially regulated genes.
