To accelerate recovery and support ecological, demographic, digital and economic transitions in the territories, the Government has proposed to local authorities a new type of contract: The green transition and recovery contract. The CRTE, signed for six years, illustrates the generalisation of a new method of collaboration between the state and local authorities. It incorporates state support schemes for local and regional authorities, which are considerably reinforced by the appropriations of the recovery plan in the first two years.
The CRTE is the translation of the ambition of a territorial project: the green transition and territorial cohesion are the backbone of this contract, which is based on the mobilisation of all the territorial actors, both public and private, all involved in the recovery.
