This work presents a detailed exposition and analysis of the CiaoDVD, a critical sparse trust dataset for mobile social network scenarios. This dataset encompasses user feedback and trust ratings. The data covers the period from November 2013 to December 2013 and was collected in a globalized social network environment. The significance of this dataset lies in serving as a crucial foundation for research on sparse trust in mobile social networks. Through data evaluation and quality control, the study ensures high standardization and accuracy of the dataset. Furthermore, this dataset holds significant practical value and research significance for trust mining in mobile social networks and enhancing user experience. The total size of the dataset is 22.9 MB. The CiaoDVD dataset consists of three data files, detailed as follows: 1. movie-ratings.txt: This file contains movie rating data, with a size of 2254 KB. Its columns include user ID, movie ID, genre ID, review ID, movie rating, and date. 2. review-ratings.txt: This file contains review rating data, with a size of 20749 KB. Its columns include user ID, review ID, and review rating. Note that some users may provide review ratings without providing movie ratings. 3. trusts.txt: This file contains user trust data, with a size of 495 KB. Its columns are trustor ID, trustee ID, and trust value. Additionally, some users may provide neither movie ratings nor review ratings.
