Additional datasets for the effects of biochar-based urea and urea application on soil methane uptake in a subtropical forest

Through a three-year field trial in a subtropical bamboo forest, we explored the responses of soil physicochemical and microbial properties to application of biochar-based urea and urea, and how the biochar-based urea and urea regulated the dynamic changes in soil CH₄ uptake, temperature, water content, WSOC, MBC, NH₄⁺-N, NO₃⁻-N, CH₄ oxidation rate, CH₄ production rate, <em>pmoA</em> gene, <em>mcrA</em> gene, and <em>pmoA/mcrA</em> ratio.
