This repository contains the comprehensive dataset supporting the manuscript: "Quantifying critical thresholds to escape the urban resilience trap" submitted to Nature Communications. 1. Dataset Overview The dataset encompasses a highly granular panel of 290 prefecture-level cities in China spanning a 9-year period (2014–2022). In total, this repository delivers over 60,000 observational data points. 2. Repository Contents To facilitate the peer-review process and ensure maximum clarity, the dataset is modularly organized. The repository contains 24 individual Excel (.xlsx) files. Each file is dedicated to a specific resilience indicator and contains the complete 9-year panel data for all 290 cities, allowing reviewers to verify the specific inputs for each dimension of the study. 3. Access Note Access to these files is temporarily restricted to ensure confidentiality during the peer-review process. The entire dataset will be transitioned to full Open Access immediately upon the formal publication of the manuscript.
