Development and Clinical Evaluation of a Next-Generation Sequencing Approach for HIV-1 Genotypic Resistance Testing

HIV-1 Genotypic Resistance Testing on clinical specimens using Next-Generation Sequencing in the Miseq platform. Fragment libraries were prepared from PR/RT and IN amplicons produced by one step RT-PCR followed by nested PCR.Goal: To compare between Sanger and Miseq-NGS consensus sequences, predicted levels of drug resistance, and the efficiency of detecting low-level mutations in clinical samples.
