Climate change report 2014
收藏资源简介:
In 2012, around 80.1 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent were emitted in Austria. Emissions in the last year of the Kyoto period were thus around 2.5% higher than in 1990 and 11.3 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent, respectively, than the annual average of the Kyoto target set for 2008-2012. Compared to the previous year, emissions fell by 3.3% in 2012 due to the declining use of fossil fuels and the historic high in hydropower generation. Austria will fulfil its obligations under the Kyoto Protocol through the increased use of flexible instruments and the purchase of emission allowances. According to scenario analyses by the Federal Environment Agency, the EU's goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2020 can only be achieved through additional measures at home, especially in transport and room heating.
