The detection of gamma-ray emission from narrow-line Seyfert 1 openParNLS1closePar AGN confirms the presence of powerful relativistic jets in these sources. NLS1s have much lower black hole openParBHclosePar masses and higher accretion rates than the majority of blazars comma therefore allowing investigations into how jets scale with the mass and accretion rate of the BH. Studies in the XMM band have shown that the tail of the accretion flow emission is present in the soft X-rays comma whilst the jet dominates at higher energies. Thus comma with X-ray and UV observations we can parameterise the accretion flow and simultaneously probe the non-thermal emission from the jet. We propose the first XMM observations of six newly-discovered gamma-ray NLS1s to explore the disc-jet connection and address issues of jet scaling and power.
