VPRS 19410 Report Book of Organiser of Building Fund

This series consists of a volume recording the monthly reports from the organising secretary of Prince Henry's Hospital (VA 441) Building Fund to the hospital's manager and secretary. The Building Fund was supported by its incorporated organisations and donations. Contributors included the Sportsmen's Ward Fund, the Nurses' Home Building Fund, the Edinburgh Fund and the Ladies Aid Association. In 1955, the focus of the Building Fund was to support the hospital's Public Appeal. The objective of the Public Appeal was to raise 250,000 pounds to meet the contribution of the hospital's Board of Management towards the cost of building a new South Wing and Out-patients Department. From September 1966, the reports were presented by the Public Relations Officer from the hospital's Public Relations and Fundraising Department.
