Number of start-ups divided by the number of thousand inhabitants, 16-64 years, previous year. According to Eurostat’s recommendation, a start-up is defined as a wholly start-up company excluding various forms of conversions of existing enterprises. Individual traders who have not registered company names with the Swedish Companies Registration Office are included. The data is based on processing of Statistics Sweden’s business register.
