RestoreSeas eelgrass eDNA water samples

Seagrass meadows of Zostera marina are vital ecosystems that provide numerous ecological services, yet they are declining globally due to anthropogenic impacts. This study investigates the ecological differences among undisturbed, impacted, and restored seagrass sites along the western coast of Sweden and the southern coast of Norway using environmental DNA (eDNA) metabarcoding targeting COI, 18S rRNA, and MiFish-U markers.
