The forest fire history data were collected in a 74-km2 section of Trillemarka-Rollagsfjell Nature Reserve in south-central Norway. By cross-dating 745 fire scars in 378 samples of remnant Scots pines, we delineated 254 individual forest fires during the past 700 years. Within the data file, a separate sheet is provided for each of the following datasets: 1 Samples, 2 Summer dairy farm locations, 3 List of forest fires, 4 Locally calibrated climate series, and 5 Raster map pixels.
