THE NATURE OF THE LARGE-SCALE X-RAY JET FROM 4U 1755-33

Recent XMMNewton observations have led to the discovery of a large scale Xrayjet from the longterm Xray transient and black hole candidate 4U 175533. Wepropose a followup XMMNewton observation of the jet to be madecontemporaneously with radio and optical/IR observations which will permit us toconstrain the nature of the emission process and study the evolution of the jet.These observations will constrain the overall energetics of the jet emission andhelp us understand the interactions of black hole jets with the interstellarmedium. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
