Satellite observations reveal the global diurnal rhythms of human activity

This is the data supporting the results reported in our article "Satellite observations reveal the global diurnal rhythms of human activity". We produced a global atlas of intercalibrated NTL imagery for 2013, capturing three distinct nocturnal overpass times (7:30 p.m., 1:30 a.m., and 4:30 a.m.). We synthesized these into a composite color product by assigning the 7:30 p.m. image to the red channel, the 1:30 a.m. image to the green channel, and the 4:30 a.m. image to the blue channel.
