The ubiquitin protease Ubp10 suppresses the formation of translocations at Cdc13 binding sites

In this study, we investigate the effects of the ubiquitin protease on double-strand break repair at interstitial telomere-like sites (SiRTAs) that have a propensity to stimulate de novo telomere addition. We show that loss of UBP10 alters the repair type at the SiRTA, providing a deeper understanding of the impact of SiRTAs on genomic stability.
