Minimal dataset for: Phytoplankton community structure and environmental driving mechanisms in the Lhasa and Shiquan rivers, Tibetan Plateau

This record provides the minimal dataset supporting the manuscript "Phytoplankton Community Structure and Environmental Driving Mechanisms in Typical Eastern and Western Rivers of the Tibetan Plateau: A Case Study of the Lhasa River and Shiquan River". Contents: 1. Species_density_long.csv - species-level phytoplankton density (cells per litre) in long format for 35 sites across four sampling campaigns (67 site-visits), Lhasa River (L1-L13) and Shiquan River (S1-S22). 2. Alpha_diversity.csv - site-level richness, total density, Shannon H, Pielou J, Margalef D and Simpson Ds. 3. Site_environment.csv - coordinates, elevation, reach and mean reach slope of the 35 sites. 4. Beta_pairs.xlsx - all pairwise beta-diversity values and scale summaries. 5. Gamma_rarefaction.docx - gamma-diversity rarefaction table. 6. README.txt - field descriptions and notes.
