Probing Microbial Diversity in Submarine Groundwater Discharges Area. SGD Project 4.

This project investigates the microbial diversity and functions within submarine groundwater discharge-associated sites in Mabini, Batangas, using advanced methods like 16S rDNA amplicon sequencing and shotgun metagenomics. By analyzing samples from water, sediments, and microbial mats across six SGD sites, it seeks to unveil the taxonomic and functional diversity shaped by the sites' varied physico-chemical conditions and nutrient levels.
