InCUBE Dataset: 3D Surveying Data, Point Clouds and BIM Models of the Santa Chiara Building, Trento, Italy

The InCUBE dataset provides raw and processed 3D surveying data acquired at the Santa Chiara district in Trento, Italy, within the activities of the European Union-funded InCUBE project (Grant Agreement No. 101069610). The dataset is intended to support research and development in 3D data processing, Building Information Modelling (BIM), Historical Building Information Modelling (HBIM), interoperability between software tools, and Building Energy Modelling (BEM). The dataset includes: - 359 individual terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) scans acquired with a Leica RTC360 scanner, comprising approximately 800 million points at a 2 mm resolution.- 359 panoramic images acquired by the laser scanner.- Two mobile mapping scans acquired with a Leica BLK2GO device.- Two point-cloud datasets derived from aerial images, reported in the project repository as containing approximately 186 million points at a 1 mm resolution.- The final aligned and merged point cloud of the building, containing approximately 388 million points at an average resolution of 5 mm.- The BIM model of the entire building, provided in IFC and RVT formats. The different data types enable investigations into 3D surveying, point-cloud processing, BIM/HBIM generation, data interoperability, and building energy-efficiency analysis.
