Magnesium (Mg) is a macronutrient that plays a pivotal role in photosynthesis. By occupying the central place in the chlorophyll structure, the recognized physiological function of Mg is to harvest solar energy. However, plants' sensing and uptake mechanism of this element remains relatively poorly studied. This study is to provide an insight into the plasticity of the root system in response to magnesium supply.
