For a wind power gearbox, the load-time history was obtained via torque sensors based on the actual loads it sustains during operation. Subsequently, a 40-level input load spectrum for this wind power gearbox was developed using the rain-flow counting method. This load spectrum can be applied to the fatigue life analysis and calculation of wind power gearbox components, enabling the prediction of component fatigue life and failure modes, as well as reliability assessment and structural optimization.
