The data will help policymakers, developers, and community members understand where inclusionary housing policies currently apply in unincorporated King County. The purpose of the inclusionary housing policy is to provide for the creation of new affordable dwelling units in unincorporated King County, particularly in areas where there is a high risk for displacement and need for affordable housing. The data identifies areas where new residential development are required or incentivized to provide income-restricted affordable housing units. King County Code 21A.48 contains inclusionary housing policy details, including developer incentives for the voluntary inclusionary housing policy.
