Project title: PMACS-75 Grant Information: AHA Grant 9TPA34910007, Regulatory role of pericardial macrophages in myocardial infarction Project Description: · Animal Model: Myocardial Infarction · Animal Age: 8-12 Weeks · Animal Sex: Male · Animal Strain: C57B6/J LysCreGATA6fl/fl · Number: 6 Mice · Groups: 4 LysCreGATA6fl/fl receiving CCL2-neutralizing antibody, 2 LysCreGATA6fl/fl mice receiving no CCL2, all infarcted · Experimental Conditions: Mice were given MI via LAD ligation. One group of mice also received 30uL of 0.02mg/kg CCL2-neutralizing antibody into the pericardial cavity during surgery. Animals were sacrificed at day 2 post-infarction.
