Number of kilometres of main tracks, neighbourhood tracks and sidings and the number of railcars per area.Main tracks are tracks of lines with a line number.Neighbourhood tracks are the tracks used for siding passenger and/or goods trains from a main track. Sidings comprise the tracks in stations (passenger, formation and other) intended for normal shunting movements, turnarounds or transit movements.Sidings are combinations of sets of tongues, points and crossings which allow travel routes to be connected or crossed.The Infrabel network is managed in 5 areas : Centre, North-East, North-West, South-East, South-West. High-speed lines (HSL) are measured separately.
