The nisin O biosynthetic cluster from Blautia obeum A2-162 was expressed heterologously from plasmid pnso in Lactococcus lactis UKLc10 induced with nisin A. Oxford Nanopore Technology long read sequencing of cDNA produced 2.4 million reads, 0.27% of which mapped to the nisin O gene cluster.
