The data is directly obtained via API from the ILOSTAT statistical database of the International Labour Organization (ILO), and filtered to retain only entries for African countries. The dataset includes structured fields such as country code, year, gender category, age group, marital status, observed values and data quality flags, which are applicable for tasks including tabular classification, regression and time series forecasting. The data has undergone standardization processing by the ILO based on the definitions set by the International Conference of Labour Statisticians (ICLS), and also includes source attribution information.
