To investigate the mechanism of CHIR99021 on extracellular matrix remodeling after myocardial infarction, cardiac fibroblasts (CFs) were cultured in vitro and treated with CHIR99021. RNA sequencing analysis revealed that CHIR99021 markedly suppressed the activation of CFs and collagen secretion, and the expression of fibrosis-related genes (Acta2, Col1a1, Col3a1, Tgfb1 and Smad2/3) were significantly reduced.
