Significant Ecological Areas Overlay

Identifies areas of significant indigenous vegetation and significant habitats of indigenous fauna. Council is required to recognise and provide for the protection of significant indigenous vegetation and significant habitats of indigenous fauna of as matter of national importance by section 6b of the Resource Management Act.本数据集用于识别具有重要意义的本土原生植被（indigenous vegetation）区域，以及本土原生野生动物（indigenous fauna）的重要栖息地。依据《资源管理法》（Resource Management Act）第6b条之规定，议会需认可此类具有国家重要性的本土原生植被及本土原生野生动物栖息地，并为其保护提供必要保障。
