New-Aquitaine: wind masts — (one-off)

Onshore wind turbines fall within the scope of facilities classified for environmental protection (ICPE).
The operation of a wind farm with one or more wind turbines shall be subject to:
* Authorisation where the installation includes at least one wind turbine with a height of more than 50 metres or where the installation includes only wind turbines with a mast between 12 and 50 metres and with an installed capacity exceeding 20 MW.
* Declaration where the installation includes only wind turbines with a height of between 12 and 50 metres and with an installed capacity of less than 20 MW.
Two ministerial orders on general requirements, as well as a decree and ministerial order specific to financial guarantees dated 23 and 26 August 2011, regulate the operation of these facilities.
