Centrolene buckleyi genome sequencing with ORG.one

Centrolene buckleyi, commonly known as Buckley's glass frog, is a critically endangered species native to the cloud forests of Ecuador. Despite its fragile status, there is currently no reference genome available for C. buckleyi or any closely related species, which hampers conservation efforts. The goal of this project, supported by the ORG.one initiative, is to sequence and assemble the complete genome of Centrolene buckleyi. By generating this genomic resource, we aim to provide essential data that can inform conservation strategies, helping to preserve this unique species and its habitat.
