Multi Family Tax Exemption

These areas are those in which qualified multi-family developments can apply for a multi-family tax exemption (MFTE), which exempts certain property taxes for a range of years, dependent on the location and whether they include affordable units or not. Those areas within the City’s Targeted Investment Areas are eligible for 8, 12, or 20 year exemptions (depending on requirements) and outside areas are eligible for either 12 or 20 years. These areas of eligibility were set by Resolution RES 2022-0068.此类区域为符合条件的多户住宅开发项目可申请多户住宅税收减免（Multi-Family Tax Exemption, MFTE）的适用范围，该政策可依据项目所在区位及是否包含保障性住房单元，减免若干年限的特定房产税。其中，位于本市重点投资区域内的此类区域，可享受8年、12年或20年的税收减免（具体期限以相关要求为准）；位于区域外的此类区域，则仅可享有12年或20年的减免期限。上述具备税收减免申请资格的区域由第RES 2022-0068号决议划定。
