<b>Data for </b><b>comparison of bacteria isolated from periodontal pockets of participants with or without diabetes mellitus in Uganda: A Case control study.</b>

This was data from a case control study to compare bacteria isolated from periodontal pockets of patients with and without diabetes mellitus. A total of 45 samples of gingival crevicular fluid were collected, DNA extracted, and sequencing carried out to determine the alpha and beta diversity.
