Analysis of fish diversity of Pong reservoir using eDNA metabarcoding.

The present study was aimed to analyse the fish biodiversity of Pong reservoir using environmental DNA metabarcoding technique with special reference to detection of invasive and commercial species. This technique is a rapid and non invasive method for analyzing fish biodiversity and detection of invasive and rare species which can help to frame management strategies for fish species in an aquatic ecosystem.
