Instrument for fast alignment of a spectrometer for accurate X-ray spectrometry of clinical computed tomography beams: drawings, software, recommendations

This record is the result of the joint research project 25HLT03 speCTraMet and its activity A3.2.5 "Detector alignment in CT radiation beams". It describes the recommendations, software, and hardware for the alignment of an X-ray spectrometer towards the focus point of the CT scanner anode with the ultimate aim to allow for accurate measurement of X-ray photon fluence spectra emitted by CT scanners. The following files are provided: Report on Recommendations on a procedure and instruments allowing for precise, fast, and reliable alignment of the detector towards the CT scanner focus point; STL files for 3D printing of the alignment platform components; STEP file with a 3D model of the alignment platform; Firmware and STEP file with a 3D model of the control microcomputer motherboard; A lite version of the SOJAmicroMan control software.
