Emerging water contaminant 6PPD-Q induces intestinal damage in zebrafish through disruption of the microbiota-metabolism-immunity axis

The widespread detection of the emerging contaminant 6PPD-Q in aquatic environment has raised significant ecotoxicological concern. However, intestinal toxicity and underlying molecular mechanisms of 6PPD-Q in the aquatic organisms remain poorly understood. In this study, adult zebrafish were selected to investigate the multifaceted toxic effects of 6PPD-Q exposure at water environmentally relevant concentrations on the intestinal system.
