Residual Waste Operation - Waste Processing Facilities

A Residual Waste Operation is a DEP primary facility type related to the Waste Management Residual Waste Program. Residual waste is waste generated at a mining, industrial, or wastewater treatment facility. The sub-facility types related to Residual Waste that are included are: Generator: A generator is a person, company, institution, or municipality that produces or creates residual waste. Residual waste is waste generated at a mining, industrial, or wastewater treatment facility. Impoundment: An impoundment is a facility designed to hold an accumulation of liquid wastes. Incinerator: An incinerator is an enclosed device using controlled combustion to thermally break down residual waste. Land Application: Land application is a facility that uses agricultural utilization or land reclamation of waste. Residual waste is land applied for its nutrient value or as a soil conditioner. Landfill: A landfill is a facility that uses land for the disposal of residual waste. Processing Facility: A processing facility is a transfer station, compost facility, resource recovery facility, or a facility that reduces the volume or bulk of residual waste for off-site reuse. Transfer Station: A transfer station receives and processes or temporarily stores residual waste at a location other than the generation site. This sub-facility facilitates the transportation or transfer of residual waste to a processing or disposal facility.残余废物运营（Residual Waste Operation）为DEP一级设施类型，关联废物管理残余废物计划。残余废物（Residual Waste）指在采矿、工业或污水处理设施中产生的废物。其涵盖的残余废物相关子设施类型如下：产生者（Generator）：指产生或制造残余废物的个人、企业、机构或市政单位。残余废物指在采矿、工业或污水处理设施中产生的废物。储存池（Impoundment）：指用于容纳液态废物累积的专用设施。焚烧炉（Incinerator）：指采用可控燃烧方式对残余废物进行热分解的封闭装置。土地施用（Land Application）：指通过农业利用或土地复垦方式处置废物的设施，残余废物可因其养分价值或作为土壤改良剂被施用于土地。填埋场（Landfill）：指以土地作为处置场地处理残余废物的设施。处理设施（Processing Facility）：指转运站、堆肥设施、资源回收设施，或是为实现场外再利用而缩减残余废物体积与松散体量的设施。转运站（Transfer Station）：指在废物产生场地以外的地点接收、处理或临时储存残余废物的设施，该子设施可实现残余废物向处理或处置场所的运输与转运。
