CRISPR-Cas9 is a gene-editing system widely used to edit eukaryotic genomes. Such system uses RNA as guide to cleave complementary DNA, thus creating mutations. In this study, modified RNA bases, called bridged nucleic acids, are introduced to the guide RNA molecules, which resulted in a dramatic specificity of CRISPR-Cas9 complexes
