资源简介:

This dataset contains the data and analyses of our paper (link to come) on the ecology of Pimplinae wasps collected in Uganda (Uganda 2014–2015). We checked where in the forest and when different groups of pimpline wasps flew, and how factors like the weather and amount of dead wood affected wasp catches. The script (`Pimplinae ecology analyses.R`) or the supplement (`Supplementary material 1.pdf`) will usually be what you're after as a reader. The former contains the R code used to analyse the data and create the figures in the paper. The latter contains plots of the phenology, distribution in habitat types, and distribution in traps, of every species (these can also be found in folder 'figures/supplement'). To run the analyses, you will also need to load the R package `turkuwasps` (as well as the packages glmmTMB, modelbased and vegan, mentioned in the article). That is where we have packaged all the general R code we use to analyse wasp habitat use, phenology and species richness. For best results, install the version that was used for this paper (v0.0.7): the package may change significantly in the future! This is version 2 of the dataset. Main changes from earlier are major updates to the analyses, especially to the fitted models. The dataset contains: `Pimplinae ecology analyses.R` The R code used to analyse the data and create the figures. `data` Folder with the data: `20251001 Uganda Pimplinae updated 2026.csv` The data of all the pimpline wasps. In "Kotka" format as stored in the Finnish Biodiversity Information Facility: two headers, followed by each wasp on its own row. Data from 2025-10-01 but updated later with new species names. `20251001 Uganda Pimplinae simplified updated 2026.csv` The basic data of all the pimpline wasps. In more readable format with one header and without irrelevant columns. This is included as a convenience to the reader, and isn't used by the script. Data from 2025-10-01 but updated later with new species names. `20251001 Uganda Pimplinae samples simplified.csv` The basic data of the samples the pimpline wasps came from. This is included as a convenience to the reader, and isn't used by the script. `202505 damaged or missing Pimplinae samples.csv` The basic data of samples that did not collect a typical sample of Pimplinae. `models.csv` The models that were fitted to each species' data. One model for each species. `f.rda` Analysis results saved by "Pimplinae ecology analyses.R". Fitted models of each species separately. Saved to file to save time, since the analyses take a long time to run. `fit.rda` Analysis results saved by "Pimplinae ecology analyses.R". Fitted values predicted by the model, for each species separately. Saved to file to save time, since the analyses take a long time to run. `p.rda` Analysis results saved by "Pimplinae ecology analyses.R". P values for the effect of rainfall etc on the catches of each species separately. Saved to file to save time, since the analyses take a long time to run. ´p_pairwise1.rda` Analysis results saved by "Pimplinae ecology analyses.R". Pairwise p values for the difference between habitat types, for each species separately. Saved to file to save time, since the analyses take a long time to run. `p_pairwise2.rda` Analysis results saved by "Pimplinae ecology analyses.R". Pairwise p values for the difference between seasons, for each species separately. Saved to file to save time, since the analyses take a long time to run. `figures` Folder with the figures of the article. Saved here by the script. `habitat1.png` Distribution in habitat types of species which had at least one significant difference between habitat types. 1 of 3. `habitat2.png` Distribution in habitat types of species which had at least one significant difference between habitat types. 2 of 3. `habitat3.png` Distribution in habitat types of species which had at least one significant difference between habitat types. 3 of 3. `nmds.png` NMDS ordination of how different the wasp assemblages of the trap sites were to each other. `phenology1.png` Phenology of species which could be classified into various phenology groups. `phenology.png` Phenology of species which were significantly affected by rain, or by season, but were not in a phenology group. `supplement` Folder with the same figures as in the Supplementary Material PDF file. One figure for each species, showing the phenology, distribution into habitats, and distribution into traps. Larger resolution than in the PDF. `R` Folder with R code used by the main scripts. `analysis.R` R code for fitting the models and extracting data from the results. Placed here in a separate file so as to keep the main script readable. `figures.R` R code for drawing the figures used in the article. Placed here in a separate file so as to keep the main script readable. `helper_functions.R` Various small R functions used by the other files. Placed here in a separate file so as to keep the other scripts readable. `load_data.R` R code for loading and tidying up the data. Placed here in a separate file so as to keep the main script readable. `Supplementary material 1.pdf` PDF file with the supplementary figures gathered together and captioned. One figure for each species, showing the phenology, distribution into habitats, and distribution into traps. Included both inside the zip file and outside it (for easier downloading). `ReadMe.md` ReadMe file with the same information as here.
