Digital Archive from a Geophysical Survey at Wrexham Road, Whitchurch, Shropshire, November 2025

This collection consists of GIS and geophysical data from a geophysical survey by MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology). Work occurred on circa 11ha of land to the south of Wrexham Road, Whitchurch, Shropshire, November 2025. The survey identified the suspected remains of a post-medieval industrial site which, based on circumstantial historical evidence, may have been used for the extraction of tannins from oak bark. It also identified a few possible ditches of indeterminate date, one of which may form an irregularly shaped enclosure.
