Numerical data of crack propagation obtained with the Cosserat Non-Ordinary State-Based Peridynamics model
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains numerical simulation results of crack propagation obtained using a Cosserat-enhanced Non-Ordinary State-Based Peridynamics (NOSB-PD) model. The model couples translational and rotational degrees of freedom, capturing microrotations, couple stresses, and asymmetric stress states, thereby extending classical continuum mechanics. The data were generated in MATLAB using a dynamic relaxation scheme on a two-dimensional domain (60 × 60 mm) with a uniform grid spacing of 1.0 mm and a horizon 3.0 mm. Simulations were performed for different values of the internal material length scale parameter (0.0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 mm) to investigate its effect on crack paths, stress fields, and displacement response. The material parameters were Young’s modulus E = 5 GPa, Poisson’s ratio ν = 0.3, and critical stretch s_c = 0.03. Boundary conditions included a fixed bottom edge and prescribed displacement loading of 2 mm at the top edge. These data provide benchmark results for validating advanced peridynamics model and size-dependent effects in fracture mechanics.
