Genome sequencing of schizothoracine fish

We will conduct the comparative genomic analysis of hemoglobin gene families in cyprinid fish. The main objectives were to characterize changes in the size and membership composition of the hemoglobin gene families of cyprinids, to assess the effects of whole-genome duplication and gene duplication events on hemoglobin gene diversity, and to characterize evolutionary changes in the developmental regulation of gene expression in major cyprinid lineages.
