At present, there is limited research on the isolation and identification of probiotics from large yellow croaker. This bacterium was isolated from a healthy yellow croaker. It is a gram-positive bacterium and had no haemolytic activity. This bacterium was acid tolerant and could tolerate gastrointestinal tract conditions. The results of the haemolytic test showed that this strain was sensitive to most antibiotics. Therefore, it was primarily considered as a safe probiotic for further in vivo experimental studies.
