PFAS Report 2022.

The present report provides a comprehensive insight into the current state of knowledge about per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS). Topics such as terminology, properties, manufacturing processes, applications, exposure sources and pathways, health risks, regulatory measures and perspectives for a PFAS-free future are presented. A particular focus is on the compilation of Austrian study results, in particular on exposure. This addresses the need for national, pan-European and global regulatory restrictions of PFAS. The report was funded by the German Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, the Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK).
