Projection, expected number of inhabitants in five years

Expected number of inhabitants in 5 years. The number of live births, deaths, move-ins and move-outs recorded during the year is used to make the projection. Using this information, fertility, mortality, number of immigrants, migration distributions and migration risks are estimated by age and gender. The estimates then form the basis for the calculation of the future development of the number of births, deaths, immigrants and expatriates. Please note that this projection is only based on statistics that are available nationally and should not be confused with forecasts that the municipalities themselves produce. From 2022 onwards, data will be published every three years. Data are available according to gender breakdown.
